Baby Theatre Classes were established by Samantha Blackwell in 2020 following her passion of drama and the difference these classes can make in a child's development.
Sam explains ‘I wanted to create sessions for babies and toddlers that provided more than sensory 'play' but classes that could also unlock each child's imagination as they journey through a world of make believe, something unique and magical!’
Baby Theatre provides your little one with key skills that will serve them throughout life. Developing communicational skills early on, helps to nurture imagination and gives your child a sense of adventure. Through this, they can learn essential skills such as problem solving, working with others, sharing and much more.
Having attended drama classes from the age of 6 in her hometown Bournemouth, it was her love of performing that led her to train in London at Arts Ed theatre school.
Since that time, she has opened up musical theatre classes for older children, but it was following the birth of her little girl Florence that she realised the importance & need for younger children and babies to explore their creativity, in a relaxed and fun environment.
Samantha wanted the sessions to be fun & engaging for both parent and child and for people to come away from their class having experienced a truly magical journey, ready to start their adventure in developing their little ones sense of imagination.
With an instant demand for classes, Samantha knew that it was important to expand further and has since opened classes across Dorset and Hampshire.
